Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee records and personnel files for the 290+ county employees as well as their payroll.
  • Orients new employees regarding county policies, insurance, and retirement programs
  • Administers benefits such as health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plans, direct deposit, and other benefits.
  • Provides guidance to county departments on personnel-related issues
  • Workmen’s Compensation

The Human Resources falls under the direction of the County Commission.
